Terms of use and sale

Updated 29 October 2026

Thank you for driving with Copeel. These terms are short on purpose; please read them once, they matter.

Who we are and what these terms cover

Copeel is published by COPEEL, SASU with a share capital of €1,000, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 130 254 709, 66 avenue des Champs-Élysées, 75008 Paris, France ("Copeel", "we"). These terms apply to the Copeel app on every device it runs on, to the website copeel.com and to any other Copeel service that refers to them (together, "the Service").

By creating an account or using the Service you accept these terms. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data and forms part of these terms.

Updates

Copeel evolves with regular updates.

This section applies to subscriptions bought on our website. It completes the previous one.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.

Your data

Your data stays yours. You grant us the right to store and process it only as needed to provide the Service, as described in the privacy policy. You can export your data, unlink a vehicle, delete items, and delete your account, which erases your data.

Intellectual property

The Copeel app, website, name, logo and designs belong to COPEEL. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control. When you download the app from an app store, that store's licence terms also apply; on the App Store, Apple's standard licence agreement. Tesla, Model 3, Model Y, Model S, Model X and Cybertruck are trademarks of Tesla, Inc. Copeel is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Tesla.

Availability, changes and end of the service

We work to keep Copeel running, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend or discontinue features or the Service, and give reasonable notice for anything that affects your paid subscription. If we end the Service, you can first obtain a copy of your data, which is then deleted as described in the privacy policy.

Warranties and disclaimers

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing limits the statutory rights you have as a consumer, including the statutory guarantees of the French Consumer Code.

Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect losses, loss of data caused by Tesla or Apple services, or damage resulting from a command you sent to the car. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the claim.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. If you live in another European Union country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of that country.

If you have a complaint, write to us first; most issues are solved in a couple of e-mails. As a consumer you may also turn, free of charge, to a consumer mediator. Otherwise, disputes go to the competent French courts; if you are a consumer living in another European Union country, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when a new service or a new version of the app opens. The date at the top tells you when they last changed; for material changes we notify you in the app or by e-mail before they apply. If you keep using Copeel after that date, the new terms apply.
